Specialty Beer for February: Abbey Roade
Abbey Roade
(February 2006 Specialty)

Preview Date: January 24. Release Date: January 27.
OG: 15.3, FG: 2.9, ABW: 5.1, ABV: 6.4

Abbey Roade is brewed in the tradition of the famous Belgian Abbey-style ales.  This wonderful brew is soft and sweet up front.  The complex and spicy middle palate is in most part due to the generous addition of dark Belgian candy sugar.  This semi-dry ale has notes of ripe plum and pear with a peppery finish.
The origins of the Abbey-style ale date back to the Middle Ages.  Monks residing in monasteries, called Abbeys, brewed beer as a source of nutrition during their frequent and often lengthy fasting periods.

Irish Dancing Bill Passes
Our 2006 Irish Fest will return to full form with the return of Irish Step dancing to ABC.  Last year, someone discovered an obscure law that prevents children from performing at Pennsylvania restaurants, and turned us in to the Liquor Control Board.  We cancelled all remaining dance dates and got to work with the legislature to amend the Liquor Bill.  A special thanks goes out to Senator Rafferty and Senator Vance for working with the House and Senate on passing House Bill 111.  At press time the bill cleared both houses and was on its way to the Governor Rendell for a signature.  Once again you will be able to enjoy this magical display of Irish heritage, as only ABC can provide!
Chocolatefest at Hershey
Hershey's annual Chocolatefest will be held at the Hershey Lodge on Sunday, February 5, 2006. Visit our booth and enjoy our limited edition Chocolate Cherry Stout and help out a great cause. Go to the website below to purchase tickets and for more info:
